DunnLoring-Merrifield Rotarians made Irish Stew for the 25th Project's monthly effort to feed the homeless in Prince William County.

The club gathered at Lee Corey's home on Friday the 24th to enjoy a great meal (courtesy of Lee Corey ant Ellen Goodman), great fellowship (courtesy of members and their guests) and great, good fun cleaning, chopping and assembling 5 crock pots of stew (courtesy of club members).  Our yummy Irish Stew was destined for the 25th Project's monthly visit to the N. Virginia homeless in Dale City/Manassas.

On Saturday the 25th, Wes and PJ Maddox drove to Manassas to deliver the stew, saltine crackers and donated crew socks to Jay as his 25th Project Troops (volunteers and friends hoping for a meal) who gathered at the staging area in Dale City.  From there, everything was transported to Manassas for dinner. The Irish stew was a big hit and the gratitude of those who enjoyed it very touching....thanks go to all DLM Rotarians for their generosity and caring! Thanks go to Kevin Cook and Kevin Corey for a great service project idea and to Lee for hosting the club for another great evening of fellowship!  Its GREAT to be a Rotarian!!!!
